Roast beef, melted cheese, tomato and pickles are packed into whole-grain bread rolls to make the classic street sandwich of São Paulo. The roast can be frozen in portions and thawed as needed, making it a practical option throughout the week.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Warm the Roast

5 min

Warm the sliced roast beef gently in butter in a pan for about 5 minutes.

2

Prepare the Bread

5 min

Split the whole-grain bread roll in half and hollow it out slightly.

3

Fill the Layers

10 min

Layer the pickles, roast beef, tomato and kashkaval cheese inside the bread in that order.

4

Melt the Cheese

8 min

Warm the filled sandwiches in a covered pan over low heat for 8 minutes, until the cheese starts to melt.

Reminder

Keep the pan covered while melting the cheese; the trapped steam speeds up melting and keeps the bread from drying out. Allergens: contains gluten (whole-grain bread), milk and dairy (kashkaval cheese, butter).

Editor's Note Editörün Notu

You can prepare a large batch of roast, slice it and freeze it in portions; reheating it in a pan after thawing brings the freshness right back.

Rosto tavada 5 dakikada güzelce ısındı, peynir de 8 dakikada tam eriyip aktı. Ailem çok beğendi, tekrar yapacağım kesin.
