A vegetarian patty recipe in which boiled peas are kneaded with bulgur and spices, then baked. With a lightly crisp exterior and soft interior, it comes to the table as a snack or a main dish.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Prepare the mixture

10 min

Knead together the mashed peas, soaked bulgur, grated onion, garlic, flour, and spices in a large bowl; add the parsley and let the mixture rest for 10 minutes.

2

Shape the meatballs

10 min

Lightly moisten your hands, take walnut-sized portions of the mixture, shape into oval köfte, and arrange them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

3

Grease the top

3 min

Brush a thin layer of olive oil over the köfte, leaving space between them for even browning.

4

Bake in the oven

22 min

Bake the köfte in a preheated oven, turning them over, until both sides are browned.

Reminder

Important: If you keep your hands slightly damp while shaping the mixture, the meatballs form easily without sticking. Allergen: contains wheat bulgur, so those with gluten sensitivity should not consume it.

Editor's Note Editörün Notu

If you brush a thin layer of olive oil over the meatballs before putting them in the oven, they brown more evenly and crisply.

Sarımsağı çıkardım, yine de lezzetli oldu. Elimde yoktu, şekeri pekmezle değiştirdim, tatlı bir dokunuş kattı.
