A hearty American-style sandwich where turkey breast, slow-baked with thyme and butter, meets cranberry sauce and is served in a loaf of bread. Also a practical way to use up leftover turkey.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Prepare the turkey

10 min

Rub the turkey breast with melted butter, thyme, salt and black pepper.

2

Bake it in the oven

80 min

Cook the turkey breast in an oven preheated to 180°C for about 75-80 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 74°C.

3

Rest and slice

10 min

Wrap the turkey in foil as soon as it comes out of the oven, let it rest for 10 minutes, then slice it thinly.

4

Prepare the sandwich

3 min

Place lettuce and turkey slices on the bottom half of the loaf, drizzle with cranberry sauce, and close.

Reminder

Important: Make sure the internal temperature of the turkey breast reaches 74°C (165°F), otherwise the meat may turn out dry and stringy when sliced. Allergen: contains gluten (bread); cranberry sauce has a high sugar content.

Editor's Note Editörün Notu

If you wrap the turkey in foil and let it rest for 10 minutes after taking it out of the oven, it holds its juices better when sliced.
