Frikadellen, a German meatball classic, is made by softening ground beef with bread soaked in milk, flavoured with mustard and parsley, then pan-fried. It's piled hot into a mustard-spread roll.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Mix the patties

15 min

Soak the bread in the milk and squeeze out the excess. Knead the beef with the bread, egg, onion, parsley, a spoonful of mustard, salt and pepper.

2

Shape and fry

12 min

Shape the mixture into flat patties and fry in a hot, oiled pan for 6 minutes per side, 12 minutes total.

3

Build the sandwich

5 min

Split the roll and spread with the remaining mustard, fill with the hot patty and serve.

Reminder

Squeeze out the excess milk from the soaked bread, otherwise the mixture can turn watery and the patties may fall apart in the pan. Allergens: contains gluten, dairy and egg.

Bayat ekmek içi yerine galeta unu kullansam köftenin kıvamı ne kadar değişir, yoksa iki malzeme birbirinin doğrudan yerine mi geçer, ölçüyü de aynı mı tutmam gerekir diye merak ettim.
