A staple of South African summer tables, this fruit salad is made by cubing granadilla (passion fruit), apple and orange and tossing them with their own fresh juices. With no added sugar and relying entirely on natural sweetness, it is both heart-healthy and diabetes-friendly.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Cut the fruit

12 min

Cut the apple, orange and banana into cubes or slices and place them in a large bowl.

2

Toss with granadilla

6 min

Scoop the pulp from the granadillas over the cut fruit and toss gently to combine.

3

Finish with mint

2 min

Scatter the finely chopped mint leaves on top and serve right away.

Reminder

Toss the apple with the orange juice as soon as you cut it, or it will start browning quickly.
