A light breakfast pastry from Turkish cuisine, carrot olive oil buns are made by mixing grated carrot into an olive-oil dough and baking it into small rolls. Its olive-oil-based structure makes the bun a low-calorie breakfast option.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Mix the dough

10 min

Dissolve the yeast in the warm water and mix with the olive oil, grated carrot, flour and salt into a soft dough.

2

Shape

5 min

Shape the dough into small balls and arrange them with space between them on a baking tray, sprinkling with sesame.

3

Bake

20 min

Bake in an oven preheated to 190°C for 20 minutes until golden.

Reminder

Squeeze out a bit of the excess liquid after grating the carrot, or the dough will turn too wet. Allergens: contains wheat (gluten).

Editor's Note Editörün Notu

Letting the buns cool completely before packing them for a picnic keeps them from sticking together.
