Knead the ground beef with bread, onion, garlic, egg and cumin, then shape into flat patties.
Sear the patties in a little oil over medium heat for 2-3 minutes per side, until lightly browned on the outside.
Arrange the potato slices in a baking tray, place the patties on top, drizzle with a sauce made from grated tomato and tomato paste, then cook over low heat for 15 minutes.
Place the patty, a potato slice and plenty of tomato sauce inside the loaf of bread and serve.
Important: Before adding the meatballs to the tomato sauce, fry them lightly to set their shape, otherwise they may fall apart in the sauce. Allergen: contains gluten (bread crumb/soaked bread, bun), egg.
If you soak stale bread crumb in strained yogurt and add it to the meatball mixture, the meatballs turn out softer and hold their shape better while cooking.
