Knead the mixture

A practical köfte made by hiding a small cube of kaşar cheese inside the mince mixture and grilling it. The cheese's melting texture in the first bite offers a filling dinner alternative that children also love.
Knead the ground meat, onion, breadcrumbs, cumin, and salt thoroughly in a large bowl.
Place a cube of kashar cheese in the center of each portion and shape into round patties so the cheese is fully enclosed.
Grill the patties over medium heat, turning until browned on all sides. Caution: the internal temperature must reach 71°C (160°F), which takes about 12-15 minutes on average.
Important: Hide the kashar cheese cubes right in the center of the mixture and seal them in well, or the cheese will leak out on the grill. Caution: Don't turn the meatball too often, or the outside may brown before the filling has warmed through and melted. Allergens: contains a dairy product (kashar cheese) and gluten (breadcrumbs).
If you put the kashar cheese in the freezer for 10 minutes beforehand and then hide it in the mixture, the cheese melts later on the grill and stays inside the meatball longer.
