An additive-free ice cream alternative made by blending watermelon, strawberries and lemon juice, then freezing in molds. It's a practical snack for families with children looking to keep sugar intake in check during hot summer days.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Prepare the fruits

8 min

Clean the watermelon and strawberries and chop into small pieces.

2

Blend

5 min

Blend the fruit with lemon juice until smooth.

3

Pour into molds

5 min

Add optional mint to the mixture and divide evenly into popsicle molds.

4

Freeze

240 min

Insert the sticks into the molds and freeze for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

Reminder

Important: After pouring the mixture into the molds, freeze for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight; removing them too early may cause the bars to fall apart. Holding the outside of the molds under warm water for a few seconds before unmolding makes release easier.

Editor's Note Editörün Notu

Adding a few leaves of finely chopped mint to the mixture can add both visual and flavor variety to the popsicles.
