A breakfast staple in Saudi Arabia, rakakat wraps cheese and parsley in thin pastry and crisps it in the airfryer. It soaks up far less oil than deep-frying and goes to the breakfast table hot.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Make the filling

5 min

Mix the grated kashar cheese with the finely chopped parsley.

2

Fill the pastry

12 min

Fold the thin phyllo into triangles, spoon in the filling, and seal the edges with a paste made from flour and water, rolling them tightly.

3

Air-fry until crisp

10 min

Brush the rolls lightly with olive oil, arrange them in a single layer in the airfryer basket, and cook, turning occasionally, until golden and crisp.

Reminder

If the edges aren't sealed well, the airfryer's air flow can push the cheese out, so be generous with the paste. Allergens: contains wheat (gluten) and dairy/cheese.

Editor's Note Editörün Notu

Made with white cheese instead of kaşar, the filling turns saltier, so you won't need to add extra salt.

Airfryer'da yaptığım en çıtır rulo oldu, içindeki kaşar tam kıvamında eridi, kahvaltı soframa yerleşti.
