A quick cookie from Georgian tea tables, sinatle is made by working crushed walnuts into a buttery dough, shaping it into small pieces, and baking it briefly. It stands out for its thin, crisp texture.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Knead the dough

5 min

Beat the room-temperature butter with the powdered sugar, then add the vanilla and flour to form a smooth dough.

2

Fold in walnuts and shape

3 min

Fold the crushed walnuts into the dough, pinch off small pieces, and space them out on a baking tray.

3

Bake

8 min

Bake in an oven preheated to 190°C for 7-8 minutes until the edges turn lightly golden.

Reminder

Take the cookies out of the oven while just lightly golden; waiting for a deep color can burn them fast given how thin they are. Allergens: contains gluten (flour), milk (butter) and tree nuts (walnut).
