Made by searing salmon fillet in butter and flaking it through rice pilaf, this dish comes together in fifteen minutes for an elegant crowd-pleaser. Being built around fish, it suits anyone who eats seafood but skips meat.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Prepare the rice

10 min

Soak the rice in lukewarm salted water for 10 minutes, then rinse.

2

Cook the pilaf

14 min

Melt two tablespoons of the butter in a pot, sauté the rice for a few minutes, then add the hot water and salt and cook, covered, over low heat for 12 minutes once it boils.

3

Sear the salmon

5 min

In a separate pan, melt the remaining butter and sear the cubed salmon with the black pepper for 5 minutes, until cooked on every side.

4

Fold together and serve

1 min

Gently fold the cooked rice with the salmon cubes, chopped dill and lemon juice, and serve right away.

Reminder

Overcooking the salmon dries it out, so keep it under five minutes. Fold gently rather than stirring hard so the rice grains stay separate. Allergens: contains fish (salmon) and dairy (butter).
