This meze, made by kneading cream cheese with black olives, walnuts, and a small amount of garlic and shaping it into a ball, requires no cooking at all. It's served with crackers or bread slices at guest tables.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Prepare the mixture

8 min

Mix the cream cheese thoroughly with chopped olives, walnuts, grated garlic, and dill.

2

Chill in the fridge

30 min

Wrap the mixture in plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to firm up.

3

Shape into balls

5 min

Roll the firmed mixture with your hands into one large ball or several small balls.

4

Coat and serve

3 min

Coat the outside of the ball with coarsely chopped walnuts and serve with crackers or slices of bread.

Reminder

Important: Let the mixture chill in the refrigerator for a while before shaping, otherwise it will stay too soft to form into balls. Allergen: Contains dairy (cream cheese) and tree nuts (walnut).

Editor's Note Editörün Notu

If you coat the outside of the ball with finely chopped walnuts, it enriches the appearance and gives a crunchy texture in every slice.
