A cold meze that stands out for its color and flavor, where boiled beets meet a garlicky lemon sauce and walnuts. Despite its simple preparation, it gives tables a distinctive look.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Boil the beetroot

20 min

Boil the beets unpeeled in plenty of water until soft; drain, let cool, then peel and dice.

2

Prepare the sauce

4 min

Mix crushed garlic with olive oil, lemon juice and salt to make a sauce.

3

Blend with the beetroot

3 min

Gently toss the diced beets with the sauce you prepared.

4

Serve with walnuts

2 min

Sprinkle coarsely crushed walnuts on top and serve cold.

Reminder

Important: Boil the beet without peeling it, otherwise it will lose much of its color and sweetness. Allergen: contains walnut (nuts).

Editor's Note Editörün Notu

Boiling the beets a day ahead and keeping them in the refrigerator both makes your job easier and lets the flavor settle.
