A hearty homemade burger with a hand-shaped beef patty, melted cheddar, and fresh toppings. Seared in a hot skillet, the juicy patty makes this a satisfying main dish that rivals a restaurant burger.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Shape the patties

10 min

Gently mix the ground beef with the salt and black pepper; do not overwork it. Divide it into four equal portions and shape them into patties about the size of the buns. Press a small indentation into the center of each with your thumb.

2

Cook the patties

10 min

Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the patties and sear both sides. Turn as needed and cook until the centers are fully cooked. Once done, top each patty with a slice of cheddar and let it melt.

3

Toast the buns and assemble

2 min

Lightly toast the burger buns in the skillet. Layer the lettuce, tomato, and onion on the bottom bun, add the cheese-topped patty, cover with the top bun, and serve hot.

Reminder

Important: Make sure the center of the red-meat burger patties is fully cooked. Contains gluten and dairy. Refrigerating the shaped patties before cooking helps them hold together. Serve hot.
