This sandwich uses Jamaica's signature jerk seasoning: tuna fillets are marinated in hot spices, grilled and tucked between slices of bread. Grilling lean tuna makes the sandwich a heart-friendly option.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Make the marinade

10 min

Mix the ground chili, ground red pepper, allspice, ginger, garlic, lemon juice, olive oil and salt.

2

Marinate

30 min

Rub the tuna fillets with the marinade and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

3

Grill

8 min

Cook the fish on a hot grill for 4 minutes on each side.

4

Assemble the sandwich

5 min

Slice the grilled fish and place it between the bread slices with the lettuce.

Reminder

Bring the fish to room temperature before grilling; putting a cold fillet on the grill can toughen the outside. Allergens: contains fish (tuna) and wheat (gluten, bread).
