Sandwiches, burgers, and wraps
Grilled Turkish kofte meatballs left over from the day before are sliced, tucked between bread with cheese, and quickly reheated in an air fryer until crisp. This convenient sandwich can go in a lunchbox or be served hot for brunch.
Place sliced kofte, kashar cheese, and tomato between the bread slices and close the sandwiches. Spread butter on the outside.
Arrange the sandwiches in the air-fryer basket and cook at 200°C / 390°F for 8 minutes, until crisp outside and the cheese has melted. If you do not have an air fryer, bake the sandwiches in an oven preheated to 200°C / 390°F for 12 minutes.
Remove the sandwiches from the air-fryer basket, cut each in half diagonally, and serve while hot.
Do not overlap the sandwiches in the air-fryer basket; blocked airflow can keep the cheese from melting evenly. Allergen: contains gluten (bread) and dairy (kashar cheese and butter).
