This quick piadina sandwich is made by filling thin Italian-style flatbread with kashar cheese, tomatoes and leftover vegetables, then heating it in the air fryer. It is ideal for using up odds and ends from the fridge.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Fill the flatbreads

5 min

Arrange the kashar cheese, tomato and leftover roasted red pepper in a strip on one half of each flatbread. Drizzle with olive oil.

2

Fold

3 min

Fold the empty half of the flatbread over the filling and press the edges lightly.

3

Heat in the air fryer

6 min

Place the folded flatbreads in a preheated air-fryer basket. Cook at 180°C / 355°F for 6 minutes, until the kashar cheese melts and the outside is lightly browned. If you do not have an air fryer, heat them for the same time in an oven preheated to 180°C / 355°F.

4

Serve

1 min

Open the hot piadinas, add the arugula and serve immediately.

Reminder

Overfilling the flatbread can make it tear when folded. Arrange the filling in a strip across the middle. Allergens: contains wheat (gluten) and dairy products.
