A snack from Turkish cuisine made for those who love heat, spicy cheese croquettes are made by mixing kashar and white cheese with chilli flakes, coating them in breadcrumbs and frying. The croquette stands out with its crisp exterior and molten cheesy centre.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Prepare the filling

10 min

Mix the kashar cheese, white cheese, chilli flakes and flour, then shape into small cylinders.

2

Freeze

20 min

Arrange the shaped croquettes on a tray and freeze for 20 minutes to firm up.

3

Coat

10 min

Dip the firmed croquettes in the beaten egg and coat with breadcrumbs, then repeat the process once more.

4

Fry

5 min

Fry the croquettes in hot oil for 5 minutes until golden on all sides.

Reminder

Firm the croquettes in the freezer before frying, or the cheese will leak out too early in the hot oil. Allergens: contains wheat (gluten), milk and dairy (kashar, white cheese), egg.

Editor's Note Editörün Notu

Coating the filling in breadcrumbs twice, in two layers, noticeably lowers the risk of the cheese leaking during frying.

Dondurucuda 20 dakika yerine bir gece bekletsem kızartma sırasında peynirin akma riski daha da azalır mı acaba? Pul biberi azaltıp yerine kırmızı toz biber kullansam acılık nasıl değişir?
