Hoành thánh is a Vietnamese dumpling made by wrapping a shrimp and chicken filling in thin dumpling pastry. Cooked in the airfryer with very little oil, the shell turns satisfyingly crisp while the filling stays juicy inside.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Make the filling

15 min

Mix the chopped shrimp, minced chicken, spring onion, ginger, fish sauce, pepper and sesame oil in a bowl until sticky.

2

Fold the dumplings

15 min

Spoon half a teaspoon of filling into the centre of each wrapper, moisten the edges with water and fold into a triangle, pressing the corners together to seal.

3

Air-fry

12 min

Brush the airfryer basket lightly with oil, arrange the dumplings in a single layer and cook at 200°C for 12 minutes until golden; without an airfryer, use a preheated 200°C oven on a tray for the same time.

4

Serve

3 min

Serve the cooked dumplings hot, drizzling over a little extra sesame oil if you like.

Reminder

If the dumpling edges are not sealed well the filling can leak out during cooking. Do not stack the dumplings in the airfryer basket or they will cook unevenly. Allergens: contains shellfish (shrimp), fish (fish sauce), wheat (gluten), and sesame (sesame oil).

Bu dolguları dondurucuya kaldırmadan önce airfryer'da hiç pişirmeden çiğ olarak dondursam, sonradan pişirirken tarifte yazan 12 dakikalık süre değişir mi, yoksa yine yeterli olur mu acaba?
