A rolled börek made by wrapping a filling of spinach and white cheese between sheets of yufka and baking it. Its colorful appearance when sliced catches the interest of children who don't like eating vegetables.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Prepare the filling

10 min

Mix the well-drained spinach with crumbled cheese and egg.

2

Roll the phyllo

10 min

Lightly brush the phyllo sheet with melted butter, spread the filling along the edge, and roll up tightly.

3

Arrange on the tray and bake

30 min

Arrange the rolls on a greased tray and top with butter and nigella seeds. Bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for about thirty minutes, until golden on top.

4

Slice and serve

5 min

Let the rolls rest for a few minutes after coming out of the oven, then slice on a diagonal.

Reminder

Important: After boiling the spinach, squeeze it firmly by hand to remove the water thoroughly; otherwise the phyllo will get soggy and tear while baking. Allergen: Contains gluten (phyllo), milk and dairy products, egg. The roll can be wrapped and refrigerated for a day before baking.

Editor's Note Editörün Notu

If you add a pinch of grated nutmeg to the filling, the spinach's aroma becomes more pronounced and the flavor layer is enriched.
