A no-cook, refreshing watermelon sorbet made with fresh watermelon purée, a few drops of lemon juice, and mint. Offering a cool break on the thirstiest days of summer, this light dessert is also enjoyed with delight at tables with children.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Cube the watermelon

8 min

Blend the cubed watermelon, sugar, and lemon juice until smooth; add mint leaves as well if desired.

2

Strain

5 min

Pass the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer to remove any fibrous bits.

3

Freeze

240 min

Pour the mixture into a shallow container and place it in the freezer; for the first few hours, scrape and stir with a fork every forty-five minutes. Once fully frozen, scrape and serve.

Reminder

Important: remove the watermelon seeds thoroughly, otherwise they will ruin the sorbet's texture. Contains no milk or egg, suitable for a vegan diet. Can be kept in the freezer in a closed container for two weeks; let it sit a few minutes before serving.

Editor's Note Editörün Notu

If you add a few fresh mint leaves to the watermelon puree and blend them together, it makes a difference in both color and freshness.
