A no-cook melon sorbet made with ripe melon puree and a few drops of lemon, light and refreshing. Carrying melon's natural sweetness, this dairy-free dessert leaves the palate refreshed on hot summer days.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Cut the melon into chunks

8 min

Blend the diced melon, sugar and lemon juice until smooth; add mint leaves as well if desired.

2

Strain

4 min

Pass the mixture through a fine sieve.

3

Freeze

240 min

Pour the mixture into a shallow dish and place in the freezer; scrape and stir with a fork every forty-five minutes during the first few hours. Once fully frozen, scrape and serve.

Reminder

Important: Choose a well-ripened melon, otherwise the sorbet won't be sweet enough and will need extra sugar. Contains no milk or egg, suitable for a vegan diet. Can be kept in the freezer in a sealed container for two weeks.

Editor's Note Editörün Notu

If you add a few fresh mint leaves to the melon puree, it makes a difference in both color and freshness.
