Step by Step
How to make it?
1
Prepare the mixture
10 min
Mix the clotted cream and chopped Turkish delight with the powdered sugar in a bowl until it holds together like a dough; because clotted cream is so rich, getting the mixture to hold without falling apart takes some skill.
2
Firm up in the freezer
15 min
Spread the mixture in a shallow dish and freeze for 15 minutes until firm enough to roll.
3
Shape and coat
5 min
Scoop small pieces of the firmed mixture, quickly roll them into balls between your palms and coat in ground pistachio and desiccated coconut.
Reminder
If the Turkish delight is very soft the mixture can fall apart, in that case just freeze it for a few more minutes. The balls keep for weeks in a sealed container in the freezer. Allergens: contains dairy (clotted cream) and tree nuts (pistachio).
Editor's Note Editörün Notu
Using orange-scented Turkish delight instead of rose gives a fresher, brighter flavour.

Karışımı yuvarlarken kaymak ellerime çok yapıştı, pudra şekerini biraz daha artırsam sorun çözülür mü yoksa ellerimi ıslak mı tutmalıyım? Fıstık kaplaması gerçekten çok güzel oldu.

Ellerinizi hafifçe ıslatmak kaymağın yapışmasını pudra şekerinden daha iyi önler, şekeri fazla artırırsanız tatlı aşırı şekerli olur. Dondurucudan yeni çıkmış karışımla çalışmak da işi kolaylaştırır.
