Whip the cream

Mürəbbə, the whole-fruit preserve central to Azerbaijani tea culture, goes beyond the teacup in this recipe and gets swirled into a no-churn ice cream made from whipped cream and condensed milk. Sour cherry preserve is the classic choice, but any preserve on hand works.
Whip the cold cream for 10 minutes until soft peaks form.
Gently fold the condensed milk and vanilla into the whipped cream.
Pour the mixture into a container and gently swirl in the sour cherry preserve with a fork to create ribbons.
Cover the container and freeze for at least 4 hours (240 minutes) until firm.
Don't overwhip the cream or it starts turning into butter; soft peaks are enough. Just swirl the preserve gently with a fork rather than stirring it in fully, so you get distinct ribbons through the ice cream. Allergens: contains milk and dairy.
Swap the sour cherry preserve for walnut preserve and the ice cream takes on a denser, slightly tart edge.
