These energy balls, made with natural ingredients like oats, dried apricots, walnuts, and dates, require no oven or stovetop. Containing no added sugar, this recipe is a practical and filling snack that can be packed in a school bag.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Soften the dried fruit

10 min

Soak the dates and dried apricots in lukewarm water for 10 minutes to soften, then drain thoroughly.

2

Grind the ingredients

5 min

Process the oats, walnuts, dates, and dried apricots in a food processor until it reaches a sticky consistency.

3

Shape into balls

8 min

Pinch off walnut-sized pieces from the mixture and roll them in the palm of your hand to form balls.

4

Coat with coconut

20 min

Coat the balls in grated coconut and let them firm up in the refrigerator for at least 20 minutes.

Reminder

Important: Since dates and dried apricots are sticky, lightly wetting your hands while kneading the mixture makes shaping easier. Allergen: Contains tree nuts such as walnuts; not suitable for those with nut allergies.

Editor's Note Editörün Notu

If the mixture is too dry, you can soften its consistency by adding one or two dessertspoons of water or strained yogurt, which helps it hold its shape better.

Fırın yerine tencerede yapmak mümkün mü? Bu tarifte şeker miktarını azaltsam tadı çok mu değişir?
