Mango chaat is a no-cook Indian snack made by tossing ripe mango slices with chaat masala, chili powder and lime juice, then letting it rest. The spices need a long soak to fully meld with the fruit.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Slice the mango

8 min

Peel the ripe mangoes and slice them thinly.

2

Toss

5 min

Gently toss the mango slices with the chaat masala, chili powder and lime juice.

3

Rest and serve

120 min

Chill for at least 2 hours, then garnish with coriander and serve.

Reminder

Do not shorten the resting time, or the spices will not fully meld with the mango, leaving the flavour unbalanced. Do not choose overripe mangoes, or they will mash while tossing. Allergens: this recipe contains none of the main allergen groups.

Editor's Note Editörün Notu

If you cannot find chaat masala, mixing equal parts cumin, ground coriander and black salt gives a similar blend.
