Panna cotta, an elegant Italian cold dessert in which cream, milk, and vanilla are set with gelatin. With its velvety texture and light sweetness, it is a stylish dessert served alongside fruit sauces.

How to make it?

Let the gelatin bloom

Mix the powdered gelatin with a few tbsp of cold water and let it bloom for about ten minutes.

Heat the cream

Heat the cream, milk, sugar, and vanilla in a pot over medium heat, without boiling, until the sugar dissolves.

Add the gelatin

Add the bloomed gelatin to the hot cream mixture and stir until completely dissolved.

Pour into the mold and let rest

Divide the mixture among bowls or molds; once it reaches room temperature, refrigerate for at least four hours, preferably overnight.

Reminder

Important: soak the gelatin in cold water and let it soften thoroughly before using, otherwise it may clump in the mixture. Allergen: contains milk and dairy products, gelatin (animal-derived). Can be kept in the fridge in a closed container for four days.

If you dip the mold in warm water for a few seconds before removing it, the panna cotta comes out easily without losing its shape.
