Rōru kyabetsu, the comforting classic of Japanese home cooking, is made by rolling cabbage leaves around a chicken filling and cooking them quickly in a pressure cooker. Rolling them tightly is the key to keeping them intact while cooking.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Blanch the leaves

3 min

Blanch the cabbage leaves in boiling water for 3 minutes to soften.

2

Prepare the filling

6 min

Mix the ground chicken with the onion, egg, breadcrumbs and soy sauce to make the filling.

3

Roll

10 min

Divide the filling among the leaves and roll tightly into shape.

4

Cook

6 min

Arrange the rolls in the pressure cooker with the water, seal the lid, and once it reaches pressure, cook for 6 minutes.

Reminder

Pack the rolls tightly against each other in the pressure cooker, or they may unravel while cooking. Allergens: contains wheat (gluten, breadcrumbs), egg and soy.

Ruloları tarifteki gibi sıkıca sarmadım, düdüklüde basınç altında altı rulodan dördü açılıp harcı suya karıştı, sonuç lapa gibi bir çorbaya döndü ve pek de hoş olmadı.
