Soft Chickpea Balls | Finger Food for Babies 12 Months and Up
A soft, oven-baked baby meatball made with boiled chickpeas and oatmeal. It can be served as a finger food for babies starting to self-feed from the twelfth month onward.
How to make it?
Add oats and olive oil to the mashed chickpeas and knead to get a moldable dough.
Shape into small finger-shaped patties and bake in a preheated oven until soft.
Reminder
Important: Don't use salt or spices in baby food. Prepare the meatballs small and soft enough to reduce choking risk for the baby. Introduce new foods one at a time and watch for signs of allergy. Consult your pediatrician about feeding schedules.
Editor's Note Bebek Beslenme Notu
Mashing the chickpeas well and binding them with oats lets the patties hold their shape without falling apart. Baking at a low temperature gives an oil-free, soft result.
