A quicker take on Balkan flavors, this dish is made by pressure-cooking beef with a spiced ajvar sauce, shredding it, and stuffing it into somun bread. The pressure cooker reduces the hours-long cooking time to 15 minutes.
Heat the olive oil in a pressure cooker and sear the beef cubes over high heat until browned.
Add the onion, crushed garlic, sweet paprika, red pepper flakes, ajvar pepper spread, salt, and water, then close the pressure cooker.
Heat the pressure cooker over high heat until it whistles, then lower the heat and cook for 15 minutes. Let the pressure release naturally before opening.
Shred the cooked meat with two forks and generously fill the warmed somun rolls.
Do not open the pressure cooker before the pressure has released naturally, or the meat may become tough. Allergen: contains wheat (gluten).
