Traditional Irish soda bread is filled with cheddar, mustard, pickles and lettuce for a light lunch. The amount of low-fat cheese used keeps the sandwich low in calories.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Toast the bread

5 min

Lightly toast the soda bread slices in a dry frying pan.

2

Spread and fill

8 min

Spread mustard on one slice and top with cheddar, pickles and lettuce.

3

Close and serve

4 min

Top with the other slice, cut in half and serve.

Reminder

Do not toast the bread too much, or it may break when you close the sandwich. Thinly slicing the pickles helps the sandwich close neatly. Allergens: contains wheat/gluten (soda bread) and dairy products (cheddar).
