Thinly sliced pastirma is grilled quickly between slices of loaf bread with kashar cheese. The heat brings out the cured meat’s spiced flavor, while the melted cheese holds the slices together.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Prepare the Bread

5 min

Cut the loaf in half lengthwise and spread a thin layer of olive oil on the cut sides.

2

Layer the Pastirma and Kashar

4 min

On one half of the bread, layer the paper-thin slices of pastirma and top with slices of kashar cheese. Close the sandwich with the other half.

3

Grill

6 min

Grill the sandwich over a charcoal grill, turning it so each side cooks for about 3 minutes, until the kashar melts and the bread is toasted.

Reminder

If the pastirma is sliced too thickly, it may not warm through during the short grilling time, so ask for paper-thin slices. Allergens: Contains wheat (gluten) and milk and dairy products (kashar cheese).

Pastırma bulamadığım için biraz daha ince dilimlenmiş sucukla denedim, tadı farklı ama yine de mangalda güzel kızardı. Kaşarı biraz daha bol koydum ki sucuğun tuzunu dengelesin.
