A practical, no-bake snack bar sweetened with grated apple and oats. Chilled briefly in the fridge and sliced, this recipe is a healthy alternative to sugary snacks that can be packed in a school lunch box.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Prepare the mixture

10 min

Thoroughly mix the oatmeal with grated apple, honey, cinnamon, walnuts, and melted coconut oil in a bowl.

2

Pour into the mold

5 min

Pour the mixture into a small mold lined with parchment paper, pressing firmly on the back to flatten it.

3

Let it sit

120 min

Chill the mold in the refrigerator for at least two hours; do not slice until the mixture has firmed up completely.

4

Slice

5 min

Remove the firmed mixture from the mold and cut into eight equal slices.

Reminder

Important: Since it contains walnut, caution should be exercised for children with a nut/walnut allergy. If sliced before hardening in the refrigerator for at least two hours after pouring into the mold, the bar may fall apart. Can be stored in a covered container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
