A refreshing baby fruit puree that requires no cooking, made by mashing seeded watermelon. A juicy, naturally sweet option suited to summer months for babies starting solids from the sixth month onward.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

5 min

Peel the watermelon and remove all the seeds, then cut into cubes.

2

2 min

Blend the watermelon cubes until smooth.

3

2 min

If desired, strain through a fine sieve to thicken the consistency slightly.

Reminder

Important: Don't add sugar to baby food; the watermelon's natural sweetness is enough. Make sure all the seeds have been removed, and be careful of choking risk. Follow the three-day rule when introducing new foods and watch for signs of allergy. Prepare the puree fresh and consume immediately; its watery texture makes it unsuitable for storage.

Editor's Note Bebek Beslenme Notu

Choosing the middle part of the watermelon, where there are the fewest seeds, makes removing them easier. Passing it through a fine sieve balances its wateriness and slightly thickens the consistency.
