Inspired by Jamaica's tropical fruit gardens, these skewers bring together pineapple, papaya and banana with lime and mint, no cooking required. Naturally sweet and heart-friendly, they make a quick late-night snack for kids.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Prepare the fruit

6 min

Cut the pineapple, papaya and banana into roughly 2-centimetre cubes, removing all seeds and peel.

2

Squeeze lime and skewer

4 min

Thread the cubes onto wooden skewers and squeeze the lime juice over them; the lime keeps the fruit from browning.

3

Serve with the dip

2 min

Stir the finely chopped mint into the honey in a small bowl and serve alongside the chilled skewers.

Reminder

Pat the fruit dry with paper towel before threading it onto the skewers, or the lime juice will make them slippery and slide off. Swapping the honey for date molasses keeps the sweetness balanced.

Editor's Note Editörün Notu

If you cannot find papaya, cantaloupe works as a substitute; the sweetness will be slightly milder but the texture stays similar.
