Bring the Rice and Milk to the Boil
5 minCombine the leftover rice with the milk in a pot and bring to the boil.
Leftover boiled rice from the day before is simmered with milk and vanilla over low heat and mashed smooth into a no-added-sugar baby porridge. Inspired by the Greek classic rizogalo, this recipe gives leftover rice a second life.
Combine the leftover rice with the milk in a pot and bring to the boil.
Simmer over low heat, stirring often, for 12 minutes until the rice is fully soft and the mixture thickens.
Mash the mixture smooth with a fork or blender and stir in the vanilla, sprinkling cinnamon on top if you like.
Stir often while the porridge simmers over low heat so it does not stick to the bottom of the pot. Allergens: contains milk and dairy.
Only use the cinnamon for babies over 1 year old; for younger babies, check with your paediatrician before adding any spice.

Pirinç cinsine göre pişme süresi gerçekten değişebilir, tam taneli pirinçler daha uzun sürer. Kıvamı bebeğinize uygun bulmanız en önemlisi, süreyi ihtiyaca göre uzatabilirsiniz.
