This baby food repurposes leftover chicken broth from a previous meal by cooking it with zucchini and peas. Free of nuts and low in calories, it can be one of the first foods your baby tries. Ready in under twenty-five minutes.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Boil the vegetables

12 min

Add the chopped zucchini and peas to the leftover chicken broth and boil for twelve minutes until soft.

2

Drain and mash

5 min

Drain the vegetables into a bowl and mash with a blender or fork until smooth, adding a spoonful or two of the broth back in to adjust the consistency if needed.

3

Add the olive oil

3 min

Drizzle the olive oil over the cooled purée and stir it in.

Reminder

Make sure the peas' skins have fully softened; otherwise the purée stays grainy and may bother your baby.

Editor's Note Editörün Notu

If your leftover chicken broth is salty, taste it before adding it to the purée; baby food should be made with unsalted or lightly salted broth.

Bezelyeyi donmuş halde kullansam haşlama süresini uzatmam gerekir mi, yoksa aynı sürede mi yumuşar? Elimde taze bezelye yok da ondan soruyorum, ilk defa bebeğime kendi mamamı hazırlayacağım.
