Lugaw is a Filipino rice porridge made by pressure-cooking rice in plenty of water until it breaks down, then stirring in soft, low-bone fish, making it suitable for feeding babies. The pressure cooker lets the rice fully soften in a short time.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Cook the rice

15 min

Put the rinsed rice, water and grated ginger in the pressure cooker, close the lid and cook for 15 minutes once it reaches pressure.

2

Release the pressure

3 min

Once all the steam has been released, open the lid and check that the rice has broken down into a porridge.

3

Add the fish

5 min

Stir the poached and mashed sea bass into the porridge and warm through over low heat for 5 more minutes.

4

Serve

2 min

Let the porridge cool to a warm temperature before serving.

Reminder

Always check the fish twice for bones before adding it to the porridge; even a tiny bone is a real risk in food prepared for a baby. Allergens: contains fish.

Bebeğim için ilk kez balıklı bir lapa denedim, kılçık kontrolünü iki kez yapmama rağmen yine de biraz tedirgin oldum ama her şey sorunsuz geçti. Kıvamı tam istediğim gibiydi.
