A classic Russian breakfast bake, this dish binds curd cheese and grated carrot with semolina and bakes it into a soft loaf. Sweetened only by the carrot, it can be mashed and given to babies from 10 months, while the same tray feeds a crowded family breakfast.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Prepare the mixture

15 min

Mash the curd cheese in a bowl with a fork, add the grated carrot, eggs, semolina, melted butter and vanilla, and mix until smooth.

2

Fill the tin

5 min

Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and smooth the top with a spatula.

3

Bake

60 min

Bake in an oven preheated to 180°C for 60 minutes, until the top turns lightly golden and the centre is set.

4

Rest and slice

10 min

Let the bake rest in the tin for 10 minutes after coming out of the oven, then slice and serve; mash it with a fork for babies.

Reminder

Do not add honey or extra sugar for babies under one year; this recipe uses only carrot for sweetness. Allergens: contains milk and dairy, wheat (gluten, semolina) and egg.

Editor's Note Editörün Notu

After setting aside the baby's portion, you can drizzle a spoonful of jam over the remaining slices for the adults.
