Boiled pasta is tossed with tuna, olives, capers and boiled egg and spiced with harissa to make this dish, one of the quick party classics of Tunisian cuisine. Served cold, it comes to the table just as comfortably for brunch, breakfast or a late-night bite.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Boil and cool the pasta

8 min

Boil the pasta in salted water for 8 minutes, drain and rinse under cold water to cool it quickly.

2

Mix in the ingredients

5 min

Toss the cooled pasta with the tuna, olives, capers, egg and tomato, then add the olive oil and lemon juice.

3

Season with harissa and serve

2 min

Stir in the harissa and salt, and serve immediately, cold.

Reminder

Rinse the pasta in cold water and drain it well, or the dressing will turn watery. Add the harissa a little at a time, tasting as you go, since spice tolerance varies from person to person. Allergens: contains fish (tuna), wheat (gluten) and egg.
