Made for 6-month-old babies, this mash combines ripe peach and banana with a fork, making a quick no-cook first food. The natural sweetness of the two fruits is enough on its own, so no sweetener is needed.

Step by Step

How to make it?

1

Peel the peach

10 min

Blanch the peach in boiling water for 30 seconds, then plunge it into cold water so the skin peels off easily; remove the stone and cut into small pieces.

2

Mash

8 min

Mash the banana with a fork and combine it with the chopped peach in a bowl, drizzling in the lemon juice and continuing to mash until smooth.

3

Chill

10 min

Chill the mash in the fridge for 10 minutes before serving, which lets the fruit flavours meld together.

Reminder

Banana darkens quickly once exposed to air, so serve the mash right away or store it in an airtight container. Peach skin fuzz can irritate a baby's throat, so make sure to peel it completely.

Editor's Note Editörün Notu

Out of season, thaw frozen peach slices at room temperature and use the same method. Adding the banana at the last moment slows browning.
